In this work Renzo Esuperanzi studies with all rigor, but with an enjoyable and direct language, all the direct and indirect aspects of hybridization. From the updated classification of the Estrildidae and Fringiliidae (the raw material for hybridization) to feeding, the techniques that make pairing and copulation possible, the handling of hybrids, the importance of observing birds and how to learn to know the character of each bird. The keys that lead us to achieve the most beautiful, the most spectacular or the most technical hybrid combinations are studied in detail, as well as the way to get them to show themselves in all their splendor in competitions.

Without a doubt this work is also a luxury for the senses, a book that is enjoyed just by leafing through it because it is full of extraordinary images that probably show us the greatest grouping and hybrid combinations ever published. Furthermore, Antonio Javier Sanz, who has been in charge of all the graphic and artistic part of the book, tries to show us the birds in such a way that they not only impact us aesthetically and emotionally, but that they show precisely the qualities that the hybridizer has wanted to seek and of which he is so proud. If a hybrid is always a small living work of art, it is only fair that the photo is as faithful as possible, as artistic as possible, because art seeks to provoke emotions in the viewer. Of course, this has been achieved hundreds of times in the photographs in this book.

Both Renzo Esuperanzi and Antonio Javier Sanz are famous international OMJ-COM judges who have judged countless elite competitions around the world and, in addition, both have a multitude of publications in magazines and books on European Fauna, Estrildidae and Colour Canaries.
